How do I use color?
Click on one of those color buttons at the bottom of the chatroom and
then type your text, then press enter. Your text will be sent with whatever color you click.
How do I check when my friend was here last time?
To find out when your friend was in this chat room, type /say seen nick* (nick=his/her name in chat). The SEEN-ROBOT SpyBOT will tell you how long ago he/she was here. For Example if you type /say seen shundori*, it will tell you when shundori* was here last time.
How do I change my Nick name?
Type a new nickname on the top where it says change nick
and then press enter. or type /nick newnick
How do I leave from this chat?
Just close your browser or type /quit
Can I connect here with any standard IRC client besides this Java client?
If you already have MIRC then type /server irc.bdchat.com
How do I register my nick so no one else can use my nick name?
Click on the Register Nick button and then type a password then
click the Register button. Once your nick is registered everytime you conenct to
chat, the server will let you to use the nick for 60 second and prompt you for
password. If you dont provide the password within 60 seconds then you nick will be
changed to Guest.
Does the nick ever get expired?
Yes, if you don't use a nick for 60 days, it will be expired. To avoid it, login to our system time to time.
How to become operator?
We do not accept any request to become OP. Please don't ask us to make you OP. Our admin picks people from the chat and make them OP when they are qualified for it. OP status is not a symbol of power, it's a volunteer job to keep peace in the chat and help the chatroom to grow.
We have a lot of users in the chat. We can't make everyone OP because we don't need that many OP's. Therefore, we only pick a limited number of OP's.
Here are some examples of what type of users we select for OP:
1)The user must be chatting here for long time.
2)Friendly and helpful to other users.
3)Chats a lot on the main rooms.
4)Carries a descent conversation and never harasses other users.
Who are channel Operators? what are their activity? what are their rules?
Room operator is just an user like you. If you see an @ sign before someone's nick, it means that person has OP status. The operator can remove a user from the channel for flooding or cursing. Operators can't kick out anyone for their personal reason. All operator's activities are being recorded by the system 24 hours a day.
